The man who was arrested on Monday after “allegedly” traveling to Washington D.C. to murder “all white police” can say he wanted to do so in the name of Jesus, but the intention of his possible actions seriously call into question his claims of Christianity.

Dallas, Texas native Michael Arega was identified by U.S. Secret Service police after Arega’s Facebook account had him “checked in” at the White House while also having posted a maniacal message on the social media platform.

According to Fox News:

A Facebook profile that appears to be Arega’s shows him “checked in” at the White House on Monday, and also includes posts with statements such as: “Now i am going to there to white House make sure kill All white POLICE !!,” “I remove the power of darkenes [sic] from USA in the powerful name of Jesus Christ !!,” and “Put Him on Jail Donald J Trump in Maighty Name of JESUS CHRRIST !!”

Easy there, nutjob. I’m pretty sure any rational Christian wouldn’t approve of Arega’s grammar, let alone his proclivity for wanting to kill “all white police.”

Arega was reported not to be armed, but the Secret Service didn’t want to take any chances. Arega has been arrested and charged with making felony threats. According to the Code of the District of Columbia, “threats to do bodily harm shall be fined not more than the amount set forth in § 22-3571.01 or imprisoned not more than 6 months, or both, and, in addition thereto, or in lieu thereof, may be required to give bond to keep the peace for a period not exceeding 1 year.”
