Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) seems to enjoy the sound of his own voice, because he seems not to care what comes out of his mouth as long as someone is listening.

Schiff went on MSNBC's "The Last Word" with outspoken, President Trump-hating host Lawrence O'Donnell Monday evening and essentially doubled-down on his rhetoric that Trump is responsible for the deaths caused by the COVID-19 pandemic because he wasn't impeached.

Really quick, wouldn't that death count be on the head of the people who couldn't get the impeachment job done? Just a thought.

Anyway, Schiff basically said that equated the current situation with the tragedies that occurred on September 11, 2001 by saying that "some days we lose the equivalent of the number of people we lost on 9/11."  No idea why he would go there, but he's Adam Schiff - couth really isn't his strong suit.

Schiff also reiterated some of his talking points that he told fellow tin foil hat wearer and MSNBC host Chris Hayes on April 24.

Here's Schiff's comments from Monday:

For greater context, here's a transcript of what Schiff said above:

The one thing I think we dramatically understated is the question, 'if you found him guilty, do you really need to remove him given there's another election only nine months away? How much damage could he really do?' We said a lot. But little did we know just how great the casualties would be. You know, some days we lose the equivalent of the number of people we lost on 9/11. And, you know, I think that there's no way we could have foreseen just how tragic his malfeasance would be in the remaining months of his administration.
