Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) says, based on some classified information he has read in U.S. Attorney John Durham’s report on the origins of the Trump-Russia probe, he agrees with President Trump’s statement concerning those behind the efforts to impeach him.
“I think it was important today that he (Trump) pointed out that there is some very crooked people, including some dirty cops, that are still out there,” Scalise told Fox News’ Sean Hannity late last week.
“Because, Sean, people need to be held accountable. They abused their power to literally try and take down a candidate for President of the United States.”
Scalise went on to state that once the report was officially released, Attorney General William Barr should, track down and jail such persons.
“I have seen some classified information I can’t go into, but I can say this: Hopefully Durham names names. I think the attorney general is waiting to see what comes out of that. And then hopefully they go after those people and put them in jail.”
