The U.K.’s Prince Harry, who recently denounced his royal heritage and deigned to come scrabble in the dirt with us commonfolk, has taken to social media to personally apologize for “endemic” and “systemic racism.”
The current (and yet somewhat former?) prince, who was born into more institutionalized privilege than just about anyone else on Planet Earth, decried racism in a cell phone video, where he blamed “our generation and the ones before us” for not doing “enough to right the wrongs of the past.”
"Right now, we are seeing situations around the world where division, isolation and anger are dominating as pain and trauma come to the surface,” Harry said in the video.
"I, too, am sorry. Sorry that we haven't got the world to the place that you deserve it to be," he went on. "Institutional racism has no place in our societies, yet it is still endemic. Unconscious bias must be acknowledged without blame to create a better world for all of you.”

Harry and his American-born wife, Meghan Markle, recently announced they were separating themselves from Harry’s former life as a prince, saying they’re setting out to be “financially independent” from the royal family.
