Report: Hope Hicks to Return to the White House as 'Senior Adviser'

Former White House communications director Hope Hicks is making a return, but this time as a “senior adviser” to President Trump.

Hicks, who will reportedly be leaving her current role as an executive at the Fox Corporation, is expected to return to the Trump administration “in the coming weeks,” ABC News reports:

Hicks, who departed in early 2018, will return in the coming weeks as a senior adviser reporting to Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law. Her official title will be counselor to the president.

Since her departure, she has served as the head of communications for the Fox Corporation, the parent company of Fox News, among other entities owned by Rupert Murdoch.

Hicks served as Trump's closest adviser, following the president from the campaign to the White House. She ended her tenure as the White House communications director in March 2018 while Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation was ongoing.

Her return comes as the President's re-election campaign kicks up the intensity.

Kushner said of the news in a statement that, “There is no one more devoted to implementing President Trump’s agenda than Hope Hicks."

"We are excited to have her back on the team,” he wrote.
