Rep. Jackson Lee Meltdown: Terror Attack Takes Away From Collusion, Kneels for ‘Justice’

If you ever want to do something dangerous and risky, you could try following the logic of Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas.

Wednesday on the House floor she started talking about taxes, which turned into criticizing President Trump for “politicizing” yesterday’s terror attack in New York, then led to references to the Civil War and the NFL and concluded with her taking a knee for “justice."

This is a strange journey, so hold on tight.

After admitting that yesterday’s killings in New York were a terrorist act, Jackson Lee condemned the White House for “politicizing” the issue.

“But rather than rise to the occasion, this morning, the words come from the White House, ‘the terrorist came into our country through what is called the Diversity Visa Lottery Program - a Chuck Schumer beauty, I want merit based immigration,’” Jackson Lee said.

Short memory. Less than a month ago, after the shootings in Las Vegas she took to the House floor to politicize gun control, demanding that no bill dealing with the deregulation of silencers ever be brought to the floor of the House.

But that’s not "politicizing" with her, I guess.

“Can you imagine how many more would have died, if the man that perpetrated, had ten guns, had a silencer?” Jackson Lee asked on Oct. 2nd 2017.

A trip through Jackson Lee logic isn’t as easy as just performing a simple flip-flop; there are many twists and turns  to navigate. Towards the end of her speech she accused the White House reaction to Tuesday’s terrorist attack that killed 8 Americans as a method of “taking away from the conspiracy charge against (Paul) Manafort.”

“Taking away from the conspicuous collusion with Russians that George Papadopoulos has indicated," she continued. "Oh he’s worried about him lying, but I’m worrying about him telling the truth, and he is. They wanted dirty stuff on the opponent, they wanted to work with Russia, they wanted to work with Putin and they wanted to conspire against the United States of America,” Jackson Lee said.

“As well as a misunderstanding on the devastating comments of his Chief of Staff about the civil war. And NFL players being called inmates in a prison, Mr. Speaker, I’m fed up with dividing this nation, we’re going down the wrong direction and I’m not going to accept it. I’m taking a knee with all of those who believe in justice.”

I feel a little like Ripley here. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee is an actual elected representative in Congress, believe it or not.
