Really?! Venezuela's Maduro & Uruguay Issue Travel Warnings to U.S. After Shootings

Well, that’s rich! Both Venezuela and Uruguay had the gall to issue travel warnings to their citizens about going to the United States following the two mass shootings, one in El Paso, Texas and the other in Dayton, Ohio.

This is the same Venezuelan leadership, led by murderous, socialist dictator Nicolas Maduro, who have killed thousands of their own people over the last six months because of their “resistance to authority.”

Also, take into account the U.S. Department of State issued a "Level 4: Do Not Travel" warning in April, saying that Americans shouldn't travel to Venezuela "due to crime, civil unrest, poor health infrastructure, kidnapping, and arbitrary arrest and detention of U.S. citizens."

As for Uruguay, they pulled out of the Organization of American States (OAS) in June as a means of protest to the “illegitimate delegation from Venezuela” that included U.S.-recognized Venezuelan President Juan Guaido.

So excuse me if I don’t give any credence to people who have no problem seeing others murdered because of their political beliefs. They’re no better than any mass shooter, maybe even worse because they're supposed to be acting in the interests of their people.

According to CNN:

Uruguay's warning also suggested avoiding the cities of Detroit, Baltimore and Albuquerque, as they were listed as part of the 20 most dangerous cities in the world according to the CEOworld Magazine 2019 index.

Venezuela's Foreign Ministry office also issued a warning to its residents Monday, saying Venezuelans should postpone their travels or exercise caution when traveling as a result of the events in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio.

At the end of the day, it’s the illegitimate government of Maduro and Uruguay’s decision to suggest or warn against whatever they like, but the safety of Venezuelans and Uruguayans are most likely not the full reason as to why they issued such warnings — at least from the standpoint of Maduro.

Another possible, more valid sounding reason for the travel warning is news that President Donald Trump has imposed a “freeze on all Venezuelan government assets in the United States.”

According to Reuters:

The executive order signed by Trump goes well beyond the sanctions imposed in recent months against Venezuela’s state-run oil company PDVSA [PDVSA.UL] and the country’s financial sector, as well as measures against dozens of Venezuelan officials and entities.

Trump’s action, the toughest yet against Maduro, not only bans U.S. companies from dealings with the Venezuela government but also appears to open the door to possible sanctions against foreign firms or individuals that assist it.

Sounds like sour grapes being masqueraded as “humanity.”
