With former president Barack Obama, former First Lady Michelle Obama and former Obama adviser Susan Rice influencing Netflix’s programming decisions, the streaming giant’s latest purchase should come as no surprise to anyone with two eyes and a brain.

“Knock Down the House,” a new documentary that unsurprisingly won over the hearts of the easily-led at the Sundance Film Festival, was purchased by Netflix for an unbelievable $10 million.

Why all the fervor over a documentary? It features socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), of course!

According to Deadline Hollywood:

By my count, that [$10 million deal] makes Knock Down the House the biggest documentary sale ever brokered at a film festival, this for the Rachel Lears-directed film that followed the campaigns of congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez and three other candidates who ran against incumbents in the elections last fall, shaking up the status quo and bringing fresh blood into Congress.

Here’s a propaganda-esque video of Lears and Ocasio-Cortez talking to the Hollywood Reporter about the motivation behind the film:

“This administration really forces a certain clarity, I think, in the country,” Ocasio-Cortez said in her typical puzzled cadence. “And there’s a lot of people that know that, or feel like, what the Trump administration is doing is wrong.”

Ocasio-Cortez never clarifies what wrong the Trump administration is engaged in, but she certainly made sure that yet another camera was on her. If nothing else, Ocasio-Cortez is an opportunist.

Netflix used to be a place where all voices in a variety of documentaries could be seen and heard. However, in the last few years, Netflix has slowly, but steadily purged opposing voices to the “progressive” movement. But Rice and the Obamas have had no influence on that, right?
