Leftwing hypocrisy can be tiresome, especially when they champion issues of supposed “social justice,” making it seem as if they are the sole arbiters of moral truth.

This time, Dan Horsey, two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist for the Los Angeles Times and self-proposed “ally” of women, reminded the world of such hypocrisy as he degraded White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ physical appearance.

Here's how Horsey would like to be seen, via his own Twitter:

In an op-ed piece that he has since apologized for entitled, “Sarah Huckabee Sanders is the right mouthpiece for a truth-twisting president,” Horsey described Sanders in this way:

Sarah Huckabee Sanders does not look like the kind of woman Donald Trump would choose as his chief spokesperson. Much like Roger Ailes when he was stocking the Fox News lineup with blond Barbie dolls in short, tight skirts, the president has generally exhibited a preference for sleek beauties with long legs and stiletto heels to represent his interests and act as his arm candy.

Trump’s daughter Ivanka and wife Melania are the apotheosis of this type. By comparison, Sanders looks more like a slightly chunky soccer mom who organizes snacks for the kids’ games. Rather than the fake eyelashes and formal dresses she puts on for news briefings, Sanders seems as if she’d be more comfortable in sweats and running shoes. Yet, even if Trump privately wishes he had a supermodel for a press secretary, he is lucky to have Sanders.

Now, you would think that with all of the left’s efforts to champion the place of women in American society that they would take painstaking efforts to treat all women with dignity and respect. But Horsey's statements just go to show that that is not the case, especially coming from what one might call a "seasoned and polished" journalist.

However, Horsey’s tasteless assessment of “the kind of woman Donald Trump would choose as his chief spokesperson” is another example of the left's growing practice of showing that while they claim to believe all women should be treated with value, some may have more value than others.
