Protesters Blast Christine Blasey Ford's Testimony Outside Kanavaugh Event in D.C.

Upset that they didn’t get their way (seems to be a theme, no?), protesters hounded Brett Kavanaugh and a throng of guests Thursday night outside the annual Federalist Society gala, where Kavanaugh was slated to give the keynote address.

Those waiting in line to get into the event were accosted by a giant screen loudly playing Christine Blasey Ford’s testimony against Kavanaugh before the Senate last year, during which she made the unproven claim that the then-SCOTUS nominee had tried to sexually assault her at a party back in high school.

Ford's testimony, which not only ended up unproven but was actually denied by others who were supposedly at the party, ultimately failed in keeping Kavanaugh from landing a spot on the Supreme Court.

But Ford’s supporters – or, rather, Kavanaugh haters, as would be the more accurate term – are still hanging on to their baseless claim that Trump nominated a sex predator to the SCOTUS bench. In that vein, a group called “Demand Justice” rolled up a truck sporting a massive screen to the gala Thursday night and blasted Ford’s testimony at the roughly 2,000 guests, plastered under the caption, "We still believe Dr. Christine Blasey Ford."

“Brett Kavanaugh apparently thinks one year is enough time for the public to forget about his sham of a confirmation proceeding," Demand Justice Executive Director Brian Fallon said, per USA Today. "The more of a public presence he asserts, the more damage he does to the court's legitimacy."

But the more progressives use unproven allegations to demand someone's resignation, the more damage they do to the notion that a person is innocent until proven guilty - a concept you'd think a group called "Demand Justice" could understand.

So perhaps we should instead call them what they really are: Liberals Throwing a Tempter Tantrum.
