"What the American public doesn't know is what makes them the American public." - Dan Aykroyd in the 1995 movie "Tommy Boy"

Project Veritas released another possibly damning video of leaked footage showing ABC News anchor Amy Robach venting her frustrations over the entire saga of the now late financier who was arrested and charged with sex trafficking of minors, Jeffrey Epstein.

Take a look at the video below:

Pretty interesting stuff.

According to Project Veritas, both ABC News and Amy Robach released a statement attempting to explain that it wasn't any political pressure that killed that story, but ABC News' "editorial standards" (who knew they had any?).

The ABC News statement:

At the time not all of our reporting met our standards to air, but we have never stopped investigating the story. Ever since we've had a team on this investigation and substantial resources dedicated to it. That work has led to a two-hour documentary and 6-part podcast that will air in the new year.

Amy Robach's statement:

As a journalist, as the Epstein story continued to unfold last summer, I was caught in a private moment of frustration. I was upset that an important interview I had conducted with Virginia Roberts didn't air because we could not obtain sufficient corroborating evidence to meet ABC's editorial standards about her allegations. My comments about Prince Andrew and her allegation that she had seen Bill Clinton on Epstein's private island were in reference to what Virginia Roberts said that interview in 2015. I was referencing her through our reporting. The interview itself, while I was disappointed it didn't air, didn't meet our standards. In the years since no one ever told me or the team to stop reporting on Jeffrey Epstein, and we have continued to aggressively pursue this important story.

For context, here's some of what Robach said in the footage:

I've had the story for three years. I've had this interview with (Epstein victim) Virginia Roberts (Giuffre). We would not put it on the air.

Um, first of all, I was told, 'who's Jeffrey Epstein? No one knows who that is. This is a stupid story.

Um, then the Palace found out that we had her whole allegations about Prince Andrew and threatened us a million different ways.

Um, we were so afraid we wouldn't be able to interview [Duchess of Cambridge] Kate and [Duke of Cambridge] Will that we, that also quashed the story.

And then Alan Dershowitz was also implicated in, cause of the planes she (Viriginia Roberts Giuffre) told me everything. We convinced her to talk to us. Um it was unbelieable what we had -- [former president Bill] Clinton, we had everything.

I tried for three years to get it on to no avail. And now it's all coming out and it's like these new revelations, and I had all of it. I'm so pissed right now. Like, everyday I get more and more pissed cause I'm just like, 'My God.' What we had was unreal.

Other women backing it up. Hey Yep.

Brad Edwards (Giuffre's lawyer), the attorney, three years ago saying like, 'there will come a day when we realize Jeffrey Epstein was the most prolific pedophile this country has ever known.

I had it all three years ago.

So do I think he [Epstein] was killed? A hundred percent, yes I do. Because do you want it? He made his whole living blackmailing people. There were a lot of men in those planes, a lot of men who visited that island, lot of powerful men who came into that apartment.
