A previously deported illegal alien was just arrested in Louisiana and charged with 100 counts of possessing child pornography and one count of producing it.

According to local reports, 44-year-old Miguel Martinez was living illegally in Harvey, La., when he was arrested this week on 100 counts of possession of pornography involving children under the age of 13, one count of producing porn with a child under the age of 13, and one count of sexual battery of a child under the age of 13.

The report adds that investigators also found Martinez had been previously deported in 2005 and is a registered sex offender in California.

“This arrest should serve as a wake-up call to Congress," said Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry. "By not securing our borders and properly vetting those coming into our Nation, we have seen lives lost and destroyed. Illegal immigration has real-life consequences – countless numbers of needless crime victims, including too many Louisiana families and children. For their sake – I again urge Congress to realize the national emergency we have at our Southern border, support President Trump, build the wall, and help us make our communities safer.”

Martinez is being detained in the Jefferson Parish Jail and has been placed under an immigration detainer. Law enforcement authorities say more charges are expected from the LBI and the Mississippi Attorney General’s ICAC Unit, KALB added.
