President Trump to Libs: 'We're Not Getting Rid of ICE - They're Heroes'

For all those in the media and in Congress who ad nauseam call for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE) to be shut down, President Donald Trump gave those people one more thing to irrationally hate him for on Friday.

Trump was addressing the audience at the 2018 Project Safe Neighborhoods conference in Kansas City, Miss. on Friday, which was hosted by the U.S. Department of Justice, when he brought up to “divisive” topic of ICE.

“And then you have a lot on the Democrat side, they’re saying, ‘We don’t want to respect ICE. We want to get rid of ICE,’” Trump said. “We’re not getting rid of ICE. They’re going to be with us. They’re heroes.”

Trump also noted the successes of ICE, partnering with state and local law enforcement, in his speech.

“Since I took office, ICE agents have arrested over 235,000 aliens with criminal records,” Trump said to the audience.

It sounds like, despite pushback from those on the Left, that ICE is doing precisely what it’s supposed to be doing — finding criminals and holding them to account.
