President Donald Trump on Sunday morning announced U.S. forces had killed ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in a raid Saturday. The terrorist and leader of a self-proclaimed caliphate was corralled into a tunnel after U.S. military infiltrated his compound, ultimately detonating his own suicide vest and killing himself and three children.

His "mutilated" body was positively identified by DNA testing, Trump said.

"He was a sick and depraved man, and now he's gone," Trump said Sunday, praising the U.S. military personnel who "brought [him] to justice."
