Pregnant Woman Uses AR-15 To Save Husband's Life

A pregnant woman in Florida is being credited with saving her husband during a home invasion after she shot one of the alleged perpetrators with an AR-15.

Jeremy King said he was inside his home Wednesday evening when two masked men armed with guns stormed into his home demanding money. King says he has no knowledge of who the men were or why he was targeted.

“I’ve got a fractured eye socket, a fractured sinus cavity, a concussion, 20 stitches and three staples in my head,” Jeremy King told Spectrum News 9, outside his home in Lithia, Florida. “I took a severe beating.”

King says while he was being pistol whipped, one of the suspects fired at his wife, who is eight-months pregnant. She grabbed an AR-15 and fired back.

“When he came toward the back door in her line of sight, she clipped him,” King said. “He made it from my back door to roughly 200 feet out in the front ditch before the AR did its thing.”

Authorities found one suspect dead in a ditch near the home, the other suspect fled the scene.

“Them guys came in with two normal pistols and my AR stopped it,” King said. “Pretty much, she evened the playing field and kept them from killing me."
