While continuing to point fingers at conservatives - and, of course, President Trump - for failing to care for poor and minority communities, it appears Planned Parenthood has quietly tried to scrub their own blood-covered hands clean of their racist history - and without anyone noticing.
For instance, it seems as though the taxpayer-funded abortion giant has quietly stopped handing out the Margaret Sanger Award, a prize named for after their founder who was a known eugenicist who targeted black children for extermination. The National Catholic Register has noted that while Planned Parenthood’s own website continues to claim the award is given out “annually,” there hasn’t actually been a recipient since 2015, when it was given to abortionist Willie Parker (who was later accused of sexual assault).
The year before that, it was given to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Even Slate, a pro-abortion, leftwing publication, said Planned Parenthood never responded to their question about why the organization stopped giving out the award.
Which is an odd change of course, given that the organization, which has always held their founder in such high esteem and repeatedly denied that she was an avowed racist, has handed out the Margaret Sanger Award since 1966.
Then again, the abortion giant, which kills more than 300,000 unborn babies every year and disproportionately targets minority women and children, has recently sought to score social justice points by distancing themselves from their well-documented racist past. Earlier this year, Planned Parenthood of New York publicly disavowed Sanger for her bigoted statements against the black community - all, of course, while continuing to kill thousands of black children every single year for money.
“The removal of Margaret Sanger’s name from our building is both a necessary and overdue step to reckon with our legacy and acknowledge Planned Parenthood’s contributions to historical reproductive harm within communities of color,” Karen Seltzer, the chair of the New York affiliate’s board, said in a statement at the time.
It's long been known that Sanger, who was once paid to give a speech to a women’s group in the KKK, was open about her disdain for blacks (and, frankly, anyone else she deemed a net drain on society). She openly admitted on more than one occasion that abortion was largely meant to curb the growth of minority communities by "helping Negroes to control their birthrate," and to ultimately “exterminate the Negro population.”
