Maybe it’s the fact that far-left socialism among certain congressional members has reached record levels of crazy, but is anyone starting to appreciate Nancy Pelosi?

Well, not really – but I must say, she’s had her moments of late. And this one’s no exception.

In an interview with CBS’s 60 Minutes, the House Speaker hilariously brushed off the far-left members of her caucus’ freshman class as “like, five people.”

"You have these wings, [Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez] and her group on one side–" host Lesley Stahl began.

“That’s like, five people,” Pelosi interjected.

“No…it’s the progressive group,” Stahl hedged.

“Well, I’m a progressive,” the House Speaker countered.

Given Pelosi’s recent efforts to downplay her party’s more radical faction, along with more than one pointed snub at AOC and her "Green New Deal," it’s become increasingly clear that not all is copacetic among the left side of the congressional aisle. In that same 60 Minutes interview, Pelosi came out strongly against socialism, saying that it’s not the view of the Democratic Party.”

"I do reject socialism as a economic system,” she said. “If people have that view, that's their view. That is not the view of the Democratic Party."
