Pelosi Continues To Push 'Insurrection' Narrative With New Congressional 'Committee'

After the late May Senate failure of a proposed “Commission” to “investigate” the chaos at the Capitol on January 6, 2021 that Democrats almost uniformly call an attempted “insurrection” -- and perhaps in response to the fact that no one has been charged with “insurrection” and the first judgment handed to any suspect was a three-year period of probation for “illegal demonstration” – Nancy Pelosi is ramping-up the rhetoric and extending the psychic gaslighting.

Now, she and her stylish political “colleagues” are creating a Congressional “committee” (i.e. a PR-stunt comprised of government thugs who get together to push a message) to “investigate” the non-insurrection.

Henry Rodgers reports for The Daily Caller:

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi announced Thursday that she will be establishing a select committee to look into the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol.

And, of course, given what appears to be her very high esteem of herself and her every action, Speaker Pelosi broke out her best rhetorical silverware for the announcement, saying:

’This morning, with great solemnity and sadness, I am announcing that the House will be establishing a select committee on the Jan. 6 insurrection,’ Pelosi said. ‘Jan. 6 was one of the darkest days in our nation’s history … it is imperative that we establish the truth of that day and ensure that an attack of that kind cannot happen and that we root out the causes of it all.’

Of course, millions of Americans disagree with her about January 6 being one of the darkest days in US history, and many who might agree could do so for reasons distinct from the chaos at the Capitol.

Some Americans consider the day to be dark because of the sketchy way their vaunted US Presidential election was handled on that date, which, itself, was the culmination of weeks of tomfoolery and stupidity and cupidity on the part of sketchy federal, state, and local politicians and judges, which, itself, is part of a centuries-long Constitution collapse.

But who are we to quibble with the Queen of San Fran Hairstyle, that great ice cream diva who seems to think she can do whatever her capricious heart desires?

Just continue to claim the crowd at the Capitol was intent on “insurrection”, because, of course, it lends itself to the continuation of the false narrative, promulgated by people like drone-killer and spy-meister John Brennan, that “right-wing extremists” are the “biggest domestic terror threat to America.”

Reality is quite different from that narrative, but Pelosi and her allies have the political power, and can take our money to fund their political LARP (Live Action Role Play).

As Calvin Freiburger writes for LifeSiteNews:

Viral videos showed some people engaging in physical altercations with police, pushing against security barricades, breaking through a window, trespassing in congressional offices, and climbing on walls, causing the vote certification to be suspended and lawmakers to be evacuated from the chambers. Many, however, were let into the Capitol by police and simply walked the halls after the initial breach.

This “insurrection” was less violent than most of the so-called “peaceful protests” in Seattle and Minneapolis last year.

The violence was started by people who either left Trump’s speech early or skipped it entirely, but House Democrats quickly moved to impeach Trump for supposedly “inciting” the violence through his rhetoric. The Senate voted 57-43 against Trump in his impeachment trial, but failed to amass the 67 votes necessary to convict and bar him from holding office in the future.

And Freiburger makes another salient point:

Conservatives argue that Democrats only want a new commission for partisan reasons, to prolong their ability to tar conservatives and Republicans generally with the actions of fringe actors. Democrats say the GOP opposes a commission because they don’t want to get to the bottom of the events of January 6.

In fact, to whatever extent legitimate questions remain about the Capitol riot, they are already being investigated by at least six Senate committees and nine House committees and subcommittees.

But, as it was when Pelosi et al pushed their proposal for a tax-funded, permanent “monument” to the “insurrection,” the rhetoric must be maintained in order to wring as much political power from the Capitol chaos.

It’s always about power, always about attacking our rights, as they try to support themselves with made-up fables and myths.

Now, we can add another fraudulent “committee” to the list of frauds in DC.

Perfectly fitting.
