The cartoon character “Pepe LePew” is apparently a rapist now. So this is how our society goes these days: Because life is so good in the evil United States of America, people who refuse to move to another country manufacture things to be outraged about because mommy and daddy didn’t love them enough growing up. Basically folks, I’m quite upset that I have to write an article talking about why it’s stupid that a cartoon skunk might’ve been a jerk 50 years ago.

This is actually a thing.

All of this ridiculous fervor originates from a March 3 New York Times op-ed by “woke” race hustler and questionable black supremacist Charles Blow when he actually published that Le Pew's character “normalized rape culture.” He also said that "friends" of the character of Speedy Gonzales "helped popularize the corrosive stereotype of the drunk and lethargic Mexicans.”

Anyway, as a result of the recent stupidity concerning cartoon characters — you know, things that aren’t actually real — Le Pew has been removed from the upcoming and totally original movie, “Space Jam: A New Legacy” starring activist basketball player LeBron James.

According to Deadline:

Pepe was set to appear in a black-and-white Casablanca-like Rick’s Cafe sequence. Pepe, playing a bartender, starts hitting on a woman at the bar played by [actress Greice] Santo. He begins kissing her arm, which she pulls back, then slamming Pepe into the chair next to hers. She then pours her drink on Pepe, and slaps him hard, sending him spinning in a stool, which is then stopped by LeBron James’ hand. James and Bugs Bunny are looking for Lola, and Pepe knows her whereabouts. Pepe then tells the guys that Penelope cat has filed a restraining order against him. James makes a remark in the script that Pepe can’t grab other Tunes without their consent.

Ugh. If I’m Pepe Le Pew — and I can’t be because Pepe Le Pew isn’t real — I’m glad they cut the scene from the movie. What a cringe-inducing, “woke” pile of garbage. Who do these people in Hollywood think want to watch that crap?

Well, that’s enough of this dumpster fire. And to think, not many people thought 2021 could be worse than 2020. They were wrong.
