Okay? California Amusement Parks to Open Back Up, But No 'Singing, Shouting' or 'Heavy Breathing'

Leave it to California to go completely overboard on pretty much anything that allows them to exert any level of control over the people living in or visiting the state. The far-left’s thirst for control over the American populace now extends to — and I’m not joking here — rollercoasters.

Apparently, according to guidelines published by the California Attractions and Parks Association (CAPA), in order to avoid spreading the Chinese coronavirus to others patrons should refrain from allowing very much at all to leave their mouths while enjoying the park — like “singing, shouting, heavy breathing.”

“Face covering usage and/or modifications to seat loading patterns will be required on amusement park rides to mitigate the effects of shouting,” CAPA’s Responsible Reopening Plan states. “Additionally, on rides, guests generally face in one direction.”

Isn’t letting loose kind of one of the draws of going on rollercoasters and other amusement park rides? It’s an outlet — a stress reliever if you will. Sure you could probably go on rides without opening your mouth for any reason, but then what’s the point of enjoying a stress relieving attraction if you’re restricted from relieving said stress?

As an aside, the “plan” also states that parks can only allow a certain number of people “for appropriate distancing throughout their parks.”

You should either open places like amusement parks or you shouldn’t, meaning that if restrictions like the ones afforded to people because of “the coof” are mandated to be strictly adhered to, where’s the fun in being restricted? You're already wearing masks, so what gives?

Of course, people should follow any amusement park’s regulations that don’t have anything to do with COVID. I just don’t see the point in participating in something if you’re restricted in the enjoyment of said thing.
