Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf is much like the governor of the state of California, intentionally misinformed and dangerous for American citizens. This is the same woman who tipped off illegal immigrants when Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) were about to perform a raid.

Schaaf’s latest dumbass comment came on Monday when Schaaf joined biased CNN host Erin Burnett to talk about possible obstruction of justice charges against her by the Trump administration. However, it was when Burnett asked Schaaf about President Trump calling MS-13 gang members “animals” that shows the Left’s ignorance.

Let’s just say that Schaaf simply doesn’t get it. Oh, that and Burnett totally lobbed softball questions up to Schaaf.

“I believe that this president’s language is racist,” Schaaf said. “It is fear-mongering and it is trying to distract the American people from the job that elected officials are supposed to do, and that’s improve the lives of the people that we’re supposed to represent, instead of casting blame and dispersion against a very vulnerable population.”

Is she talking about the entire illegal population? I thought it was already made clear that Trump was talking about MS-13? To be fair, Schaaf does have an agenda to fulfill.

But, let’s not give the ignorant Schaaf a pass. At best, she still doesn’t understand the context that Trump was speaking in when he called the murderous MS-13 “animals.” At worst, Schaaf is a gang sympathizer, and she puts the lives of dangerous illegal aliens ahead of the lives of actual U.S. citizens.

Here's video of Schaaf's interview with Burnett:

Not one to back down to Leftist “thought police” bullies, the White House released an article on their website Monday titled, “What You Need To Know About The Violent Animals of MS-13.” The article never references any MS-13 member as a person, only as an "animal" or "animals." Classic trolling by the White House.

Also during the interview, Schaaf praised how Oakland’s “crime has gone down in the last few years.” Well, kind of.

The Oakland Police Department’s crime statistics — that cover years from 2013 to 2017 — tell a different story than the one Schaaf is selling. Schaaf is guilty of telling half-truths.

Homicides have gone down 12 percent in the last five years, but that fluctuates up and down depending on the year. Robbery (24 percent), motor vehicle theft (10 percent) and larceny (three percent) have all gone down as well. But, aggravated assaults (four percent), rape (seven percent), burglary (eight percent) and arson (eight percent) have all gone up in the last five years.

Overall, crime is down two percent over the last five years, but is up one percent overall if you compare 2017 to 2016. Schaaf became mayor of Oakland in 2015.

If you’re an American citizen living in Oakland, it might be time to ask the question, “What have you done for me lately?”
