“Not so fast.”

Those were the words of Fox News host Neil Cavuto on Tuesday after he and his producers decided to cut away from a President Donald Trump campaign press conference. White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany was speaking about wanting “maximum transparency” when it comes to the vote count in the 2020 presidential election when the interruption occurred.

“We want an honest, accurate, lawful count,” McEnany said. “We want maximum sunlight. We want maximum transparency. We want every legal vote to be counted, and we want every illegal vote to be…”

That’s when Cavuto stepped in and essentially claimed that unless McEnany was going to present any evidence of Democrats or anyone else engaging in voter fraud or any other type of election interference, he “can’t in good countenance continue showing you this.”

“Whoa, whoa, whoa, I just think we have to be very clear,” Cavuto interrupted. “She’s charging the other side is welcoming fraud and welcoming illegal voting. Unless she has more details to back that up, I can’t in good countenance continue showing you this.”

Cavuto attempted to downplay his interruption by claiming that maybe the Trump campaign does have some kind of evidence, but still wouldn’t go back to the press conference unless McEnany presented what Cavuto’s program considered to be factual evidence.
