Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) went on impeachment network CNN on Wednesday to talk about...what else, the impeachment hearings of President Donald Trump.

Host Wolf Blitzer reminded Ocasio-Cortez about her support for impeachment, along with her belief that Trump should be impeached for "profiting off the presidency" and "for his conduct in the Russia investigation," before asking the freshman congresswoman "what message" it would send if Democrats don't "incorporate" her impeachment points into the process.

Ocasio-Cortez responded by saying that the outcome, if the impeachment process is prolonged, could have a "potentially disastrous outcome" for the 2020 elections. She also said that Trump should be investigated for "quite flagrant abuses of the emoluments clause."

"We also need to move quite quickly, because we're talking about the potential compromise of the 2020 elections," Ocasio-Cortez said. "And so this is not just about something that has occurred, this is about preventing a potentially disastrous outcome from occurring next year."
