The leftist “Republicans” at The Lincoln Project are at it again with another addition to their video menagerie of implausible takes and improbable outcomes. This most recent video plays like a bad Saturday Night Live fake commercial. The only difference is that The Lincoln Project’s video is actually funny — even though it’s not supposed to be.
The political ad in question shows a mother coming into her son’s bedroom while he’s sleeping in order to wake him up and give him the results of the election…in 2024.
The only problem is that mother painfully tells her son that President Donald Trump won, which isn’t a legal possibility.

Basically, The Lincoln Project believes that if Trump wins the 2020 election he will make it so that he can continue to run for president despite already serving two terms.
The issue with The Lincoln Project’s video is that the scenario portrayed would mean that Trump would legally change the law so that a president could run for a third term, because Trump wouldn’t have to win another election if he just willy-nilly decided he wanted to stay president.
The real question for The Lincoln Project remains that no matter what the outcome of this upcoming election might be, what purpose does The Lincoln Project serve going forward?
Maybe that’s why they’re playing out the situation of Trump winning a third term should he win a second term — for their own survival.
