It’s like the National Football League (NFL) and a good majority of their teams just don’t want to make money — which is insane to think about considering the money they shell out on the players.

New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell (D) announced a new authoritarian mandate on Thursday which details that fans attending a New Orleans Saints home game “will be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test from the previous 72 hours,” according to ESPN.

But that’s not all!

Fans will also be forced to wear masks when they’re not either eating or drinking.

Cantrell tried to quell pushback against the mandate by stating the attendance at Saints home games will not be limited.

“We are not limiting capacity,” Cantrell said. “We've got to get our people vaccinated.”

Who knows what the fans reaction will be to the restrictions and whether or not they want to have to jump through all those hoops just to be allowed to spend hundreds, if not thousands of dollars to attend.

The other factor into the Saints possible attendance figures are that longtime, future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees retired after last season and star wide receiver Michael Thomas has been reportedly in a feud with Saints management.
