While anime porn (otherwise known as “hentai”) has been pegged by some as a fetish of the alt-right, it appears that even liberal journalists get curious enough to observe the artistry of tentacle porn.

Senior Newsweek writer Kurt Eichenwald, who recently made headlines after he filed charges against an anonymous Twitter troll who allegedly gave him a seizure by sending him a flashing gif, posted an image of an anti-Semitic newsletter he reportedly received.

However, Twitter users noticed that on the browser in the background of Eichenwald’s picture, there was an open tab for “B-Chiku”—in “English” and “uncensored.”

Hours after Twitter users noticed the porn tab, Eichenwald decided to blame his wife and his children for the mishap. According to Eichenwald, he was trying to convince his wife that “tentacle” porn exists:

Eichenwald also pulled the “who are you to judge card,” by asking a completely rhetorical question, “What diff would it make?” over whether he was actually enjoying the porn:

Eichenwald even allegedly solicited his wife to back up his claims:

In one last desperate attempt to explain the porn, Eichenwald took on a tone of indifference and told readers to “Believe what I say or don’t”—despite devoting multiple tweets to denying he was looking at porn and throwing blame on his family members:

According to Gizmodo’s analysis of the pornographic website, there is no "tentacle porn" on the site. Rather, the tags for the site include things like “dark skin,” “glasses,” “schoolboy uniform,” and other NSFW language.

To make this story even better, just recently, Eichenwald posted a warning to “red state porn watchers” about ISPs selling your browsing history:

This is why you should always make sure you’re aware of your surroundings at all times.
