New Info Is Melting The Pop Media’s Climate Change Narrative

Summer is here in the northern hemisphere, and the dinosaur pop media fearmongering over “Climate Change” has hit us hot and heavy.

Despite having been incorrect in every other goofy climate prediction he’s made, Prince Charles recently revised his doomsaying and now says Earth has eighteen months before it will reach its “climate tipping point”. ABC news reports that many Democrats conflate simple weather events with “climate” – even as World News host David Muir continues his multi-year habit of sensationalizing weather events as “extreme” and pushing them to the front of the broadcast. (Hat’s off to meteorologist Ginger Zee, though she works in the editorial maelstrom at ABC, Ms. Zee has been much more straight-forward, reminding people that the weather is not as “extreme” as many fear-mongers claim it is.)

We should know the end is nigh. We should know because Bill Nigh tells us. We’re supposed to think that organizations like the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) are dealing straight with us, despite reams of evidence hinting that they are not.

Now comes word from researches in Japan and Finland that the entire climate modeling paradigm of the Climate Change Cult is wrong, that, in fact, the claims that man is causing unstoppable “warming” are simply without any credible foundation.

Of course, we’ve known that for ages because we’ve been able to look at temperatures, and to not only observe that the Climate Cult has been trying to “adjust” old temperature readings to fit their theories, they changed the name of their Apocalypse from Global Warming to Climate Change because there wasn’t any real warming between the mid-1990s and 2016 . And they did so while still slickly implying the globe was warming due to man.

But now, as the Helsinki Times reports:

A new paper published by researchers form the University of Turku in Finland suggests that even though observed changes in the climate are real, the effects of human activity on these changes are insignificant. The team suggests that the idea of man made climate change is a mere miscalculation or skewing the formulas by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

The Finnish team then saw their research corroborated by scientists at the University of Kobe, as revealed in a paper published early this month:

Prof. Masayuki Hyodo and his team Yusuke Ueno, Tianshui Yang and Shigehiro Katoh from the University of Kobe in Japan in their paper published this month in propose that the “umbrella effect” is the main factor behind climate change.

'When galactic cosmic rays increased during the Earth’s last geomagnetic reversal transition 780,000 years ago, the umbrella effect of low-cloud cover led to high atmospheric pressure in Siberia, causing the East Asian winter monsoon to become stronger. This is evidence that galactic cosmic rays influence changes in the Earth’s climate.'

Sure is a good thing the pop news media didn’t clutter-up their continuing fantastical narratives about “Anthropogenic Climate Change” to discuss this, or the fact that, as many researches have been trying to tell the “reporters” in the dinosaur media – the strongest correlation for climate variation is connected to solar activity.

Instead, the Climate Change Cult will continue to chant their mantra and demand the equivalent of 21st Century “indulgences” for our attempts to improve our lives, engage in commerce, and make life better for our progeny.

The Finnish researchers did not equivocate. Just as many of us have experienced frustration over how the politically-connected pushers of Climate Change appear to manipulate real data, so to did the scientists make a pointed remark about that shameful practice.

The study’s authors make a hard distinction between the type of model favored by climate scientists at the IPCC and genuine evidence, stating “We do not consider computational results as experimental evidence…”

Indeed, many of us echo that sentiment, and appreciate more of what the Finnish team offered:

Models used by official bodies such as the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) ‘cannot compute correctly the natural component included in the observed global temperature,’ the study said, adding that ‘a strong negative feedback of the clouds is missing’ in the models.

In fact, the Finnish team observes that even the amount of CO2 mankind puts into the atmosphere is not as significant as the Climate Change Cult assert:

If we pay attention to the fact that only a small part of the increased CO2 concentration is anthropogenic, we have to recognize that the anthropogenic climate change does not exist in practice.

We’ll surely see that as a lead story on David Muir’s “ABC World News”… Surely.

Likewise, we’ll undoubtedly see The New York Times retract its recent claim that heat waves are getting worse and are more common, since as Reason’s Ronald Bailey reports, the National Climate Assessment completely disagrees.

As it happens, chapter six of 2017's Fourth National Climate Assessment reports that heat waves measured as high daily temperatures are becoming less common in the contiguous U.S., not more frequent.

Surely, the dinosaur pop media outlets will work hard to maintain journalistic integrity for which we've known them, and not act as hawkers of political propaganda. Surely, they’ll try to correct the record and stop scaremongering as a means to achieve carbon taxes and massive regulations on free enterprise and personal living standards…

Yes.

Definitely.

Surely.
