Three months after the FBI and NSA said there is no evidence of Russia changing the vote tallies in the 2016 presidential election, nearly two-thirds of Democrats still believe Russia changed the tallies.

A newly released YouGov/Economist poll asked 1,500 American adults from June 11-13 whether they believe the Russian government “tampered with vote tallies in order to get Donald Trump elected President.”

The poll found 63 percent of Democrats believe Russia changed the vote tallies to swing the election in favor of Trump.

The percent of Democrats who believe Russia tampered with vote tallies to get Trump elected president has increased since the question was last asked from May 20-23. At the time, 59 percent of Democrats claimed they believe Russia tampered with the vote tallies.

A week before, 55 percent of Democrats claimed they believed it was “true” that the Russians changed the vote tallies.

When the question was asked in Dec. 17-20, 2016, only 52 percent of Democrats believed Russia changed the vote tallies.

The latest YouGov/Economist poll was conducted via web-based interviews and has a margin of error of ± 3.1% (adjusted for weighting).
