NBA Approves List of 'Social Justice Messages' Players Can Put on Jerseys

Sports just aren’t fun anymore. Every single time I stumble upon something from the current world of sports, I have to hear some political message. You all know how I feel from the video I did last week where I declared sports as “dead.” Now, it looks as though National Basketball Association (NBA) players will be allowed to be political, during games, without having to spend the energy to audibly say a single word.

The NBA and the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA), the union for players in the league, have come to an agreement that will allow players to choose from a list of approved “social justice messages” and emblazon them on their jerseys.

Here’s a list of the pre-approved “social justice” messages, according to ESPN:

Black Lives Matter; Say Their Names; Vote; I Can't Breathe; Justice; Peace; Equality; Freedom; Enough; Power to the People; Justice Now; Say Her Name; Sí Se Puede (Yes We Can); Liberation; See Us; Hear Us; Respect Us; Love Us; Listen; Listen to Us; Stand Up; Ally; Anti-Racist; I Am A Man; Speak Up; How Many More; Group Economics; Education Reform; and Mentor.

That’ll show actual racists. No word yet if racism is over because of the move.

The NBA is scheduled to resume their season on July 30.
