House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is getting a major reality check from her local archbishop after supporting HR 3755, an extreme pro-abortion bill granting women across the United States a statutory right to abortion.
Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone, the archbishop of Nancy Pelosi’s hometown San Francisco, recently proclaimed that anyone who supports and votes for this heinous and murderous bill is complicit in “child sacrifice” and more like a “devout satanist” than a “devout Catholic.” This criticism can also be leveled against President Joe Biden who is considered by the media as a “devout Catholic,” though he wants to “codify Roe v. Wade.”
HR 3755, or the “Women’s Health Protection Act,” passed in the House last week with the support of Pelosi and the majority of Democrats. Regardless of whether the bill is killed when the Senate votes on it, the fact that it passed is a tragedy for unborn babies.
According to pro-life outlet LiveAction.org, the horrific bill makes abortion a “statutory right” that would “do away with conscience protections for health care workers who do not wish to participate in life-ending procedures.” It would “prohibit almost any kind of limitation on abortion such as waiting periods and ultrasounds,” and would neutralize state’s restrictions against the killing of unborn babies.
Basically, this bill would “codify” Roe v. Wade -- just the way the Biden campaign said it wanted -- making the baby killing easier to do, nationwide, all the time, up to birth. And not one local or state government could do anything about it.
Of course, Cordileone was right to strongly rebuke Pelosi and other baby-killing Dems pursuing this bill.
“Any reasonable person with a basic sense of morality and inkling of decency cannot but shudder in horror at such a heinous evil being codified in law,” Cordileone said in a statement on September 21.
Agreed. How can sane diplomats pursue this? The fact that they won’t let any state try and dispute whether abortion is lawful just makes it seem all the more evil.
Then came the part in Cordileone’s statement where he hounded Pelosi for the bill, without saying her name, of course. Though, we all knew who he was talking about. “It is especially shameful that any self-professed Catholic would be implicated in such an evil, let alone advocate for it,” he said. Sorry, Catholic Nancy, that’s about you.
He then added, “This proposed legislation is nothing short of child sacrifice.” Yup, everyone in the United States should have the freedom to slaughter their unborn babies to make their lives more convenient, is what this bill’s going for.
Then he brought it home against the hypocritical House Speaker: “Indeed, HR 3755 is surely the type of legislation one would expect from a devout Satanist, not a devout Catholic.” That's the truth, Nancy. Deal with it.
