Drinks are on the house! Well, almost.

MRCTV was in Washington D.C. at the Union Pub on Capitol Hill where the owners of the pub offered a special just for former FBI Director James Comey’s testimony in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday.

Union Pub was offering all customers patronizing the bar free drinks on the house everytime President Donald Trump tweeted at all during Comey’s hearing.

The only problem was that Trump was unable to tweet during this time, because he was delivering a speech at the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s annual conference.

MRCTV was on the scene to ask people to give their thoughts on Comey’s testimony, and everyone was unfortunately sober.

When one man was asked which tasted worse, the drinks or Comey’s testimony, he responded by saying that “both fell flat.”

Another man told MRCTV, “Probably the testimony. It’s a tax on our democracy if you believe in Comey.”

People had varying views on what they thought of Comey’s testimony, but one man wasn’t impressed at all.

“I would say that Comey’s testimony wasn’t as explosive as we thought it would be,” the man said. “Lacks flavor.”
