‘Milkshaked’: Fla. Rep. Matt Gaetz Latest Politician to Be Assaulted by Far-Left

Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz (R) has become the latest politician to be assaulted by the far-left.

Following a town hall meeting at the Brew Ha Ha restaurant in Pensacola on Saturday, a liberal woman threw a milkshake at the Republican congressman as we was exiting the event.

The incident was caught on camera and shared on Twitter:

The woman responsible, 25-year-old Amanda L. Kondrat’yev, was arrested and charged with battery, according to local outlet WKRG.

She has since been released on a $1,000 bail, reports WEAR ABC 3.

As to her motive, that remains unclear, though a disagreement over the city’s Bayview Park cross may be a possible reason, reports Breitbart:

According to the Pensacola News Journal, Kondrat’yev filed a lawsuit against Pensacola in a bid to have the city remove a Bayview Park cross. The newspaper reports the American Humanist Association’s Appignani Humanist Legal Center and the Freedom From Religion Foundation sued the city on behalf of Kondra’yev and several other Pensacola residents.

Gaetz offered to debate Kondrat’yev about the cross — an offer she accepted, but the planned face-off fell through.

The incident comes after a wave of ‘milkshake’ assaults on pro-Brexit candidates, including Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage, during the E.U. elections in Britain.

Police say Kondrat’yev was protesting the town hall. For what reason would she oppose a forum where constituents could voice their concerns to their representatives other than a beef with the representative itself?

Gaetz took to Twitter to respond to him getting “milkshaked,” saying, “Clearly it takes more than a drink to slow down our great team. We are always thankful to the brave law enforcement officials who keep everyone safe at our events.”
