Since we’re now fully into awards season, another award was announced and I’m guessing it doesn’t have a statue attached to it.

According to the Washington Free Beacon, non-governmental organization (NGO)  StopAntiSemitism.org made the announcement of their “2019 Antisemite of the Year,” and the recipient is someone who’s supposed to serve all people, not just those she agrees with.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) was named StopAntiSemitism.org's “2019 Antisemite of the Year.” The organization even posted a congratulatory YouTube video to their website.

The video, which was also posted to Twitter, gives multiple reasons for why Omar would receive such a dubious award. The reasons included multiple questionable tweets pertaining towards the Jewish community and Israel, along with citing her support of the “antisemitic BDS movement.”

You can watch the video below:

“Anti-Semitism is plaguing our nation and it's about time we create real consequences for those spreading it," spokeswoman Liora Rez said, according to the Free Beacon. "By exposing bigots like Rep. Ilhan Omar, we are ensuring that the public is alert and able to take action.”

I’m just guessing, but this is probably the type of award Omar would rather avoid.
