MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell announced last week that the company would be redirecting 75% of its production to manufacture masks desperately needed by healthcare workers during this virus pandemic, and reiterated his pledge during President Trump’s Monday coronavirus briefing. Now, leftists are expressing anger over Lindell’s being invited to speak at the president’s briefing, and at the comments he made while there.

In addition to his pledge to devote resources to fighting the growing virus outbreak, Lindell also gave a message of spiritual renewal, saying we should use this time of isolation to “get back to the Word, read our Bibles.”

Of course, no good deed such as this could go unpunished by anti-Trump critics in Twitter. MSNBC host Ali Velshi, comedienne Samantha Bee, and many others expressed sentiments ranging from mockery to downright rage at Lindell’s comments, and even his presence at the briefing to begin with.

“Trump just called the ‘My Pillow’ guy up to the podium in the Rose Garden,” wrote Velshi. “You cannot make this stuff up.”

Samantha Bee mockingly wrote, “My Pillow is now making highly absorbent pillows so you can cry yourself to sleep after watching this press conference.”

Twitter user James O’Grady burst out in all caps, asking, “HE HAS THE MY PILLOW GUY ON TO SELL HIS GARBAGE PRODUCT DURING A PANDEMIC BRIEFING???!!!”

User Molly Jong-Fast took a shot at Lindell’s religious message, saying, “No one fights a pandemic better or more scientifically than the insane mypillow guy talking bible.”

Apparently, lending a helping hand in times of crisis and looking at the Bible for strength is a foreign concept to these people
