Talcum X strikes again.

Shaun King, everyone’s least favorite white guy who thinks he’s black, has now declared that any religious imagery of Jesus Christ depicting him as a fair-skinned man is now a “form of white supremacy” and must immediately be removed.

Because, you know, Shaun King says so.

“Yes, I think the statues of the white European they claim is Jesus should also come down. They are a form of white supremacy. Always have been,” King ranted on Twitter. “In the Bible, when the family of Jesus wanted to hide, and blend in, guess where they went? EGYPT! Not Denmark. Tear them down.”

“All murals and stained glass windows of white Jesus, and his European mother, and their white friends should also come down,” he went on. “They are a gross form white supremacy. Created as tools of oppression. Racist propaganda. They should all come down.”

Now, typically, I'd say Mr. King here deserves the amount of your time normally reserved for swatting gnats or replacing your toilet bowl cleaner. As in, not much.

But unfortunately, King has illustrated a greater point - one that shouldn't be overlooked, however depressing it may be. And that is the simple fact that nothing - not an end to police brutality, not equal pay and housing, not reparations - none of it will ever be enough.
