In their first interview since former first lady Barbara Bush's passing, son George W. Bush and wife Laura sat down with Fox News to talk about the beloved Bush dynasty matriarch.

During the interview, Fox Business’s Maria Bartiromo praised Mrs. Bush as “one of the most popular and loved first ladies,” much like her late mother-in-law. She asked whether Mrs. Bush would offer any advice to the present first lady, Melania Trump.

Mrs. Bush replied in the most graceful way:

“Well, no I wouldn’t give her advice,” she said. “But I’ve met Melania. She invited me to tea at the White House. She’s a beautiful woman and very, very lovely.”

Mr. Bush appeared to be swooning over Mrs. Bush the whole interview, interjecting during her answer: “So are you, honey.”

“Oh thank you, darling,” Mrs. Bush replied.

“And I think [Melania] will do really very well,” she added.
