A Los Angeles County health inspector was caught on camera doing what appeared to be a “happy dance” after she ordered a struggling local brewery to close up shop just hours before the Super Bowl.

According to this, Bart Avery, one of the owners of the veteran-owned Bravery Brewery in Lancaster, Calif., said the health inspector showed up around 11 a.m. on Super Bowl Sunday and told the brewery, which was offering brewed beer to-go, that they were in violation of local ordinances because they didn’t have a food truck to distribute their products. The owner added the woman then threatened one of the brewery’s workers, telling him he could be “out of a job” due to the violation.

Then, after ordering the business to shut down just hours before one of their busiest nights, the health inspector could be seen on the brewery’s surveillance footage dancing and goofing off.

To add insult to injury, it turns out her order wasn’t even in line with the law. According to the local ordinance, because the brewery was only pouring draft beer to-go, they didn’t actually need a food truck to sell their products. The health inspector eventually admitted she was in the wrong and blamed a “misunderstanding” for the incident.

But the woman’s little jig caught on camera still didn’t sit well with the owner, who pointed out that while he doesn’t know why the woman decided to spontaneously break out in a dance, he was insulted by her blasé attitude after having just told a local businesses – one that’s already struggled to stay afloat over the past year amid never-ending shutdowns and a slew of ever-changing mandates – that they had to once again close on one of the busiest nights of the year.

Welcome to Newsom’s California.
