After being accused by actor Anthony Rapp of sexually assaulting him when Rapp was 14 years old, using the situation to come out as a gay man, and then later receiving heavy criticism from a variety of sources, it would seem as if Kevin Spacey’s career was just starting to take a turn for the worst -- and it has.

The next round of Spacey’s falling from grace came as the International Emmy Awards decided to rescind the actors honors at this year’s awards ceremony. The International Emmy Awards announced the decision in a tweet on Monday.

The Huffington Post reported that Netflix has also decided to indefinitely cancel their show “House of Cards,”  of which Spacey famously plays the lead role.

The fallout of the allegations of sexuall assault by Harvey Weinstein seemed to create a shockwave of new allegations against a plethora of leading men in the entertainment industry. The new accusations against Spacey seem to bolster the idea of a pervasive culture of sexual misconduct in Hollywood.
