It seems that more and more elements of our government overstep their bounds and violate our rights based on their own biases and the biases of the establishment in order to exert their force on all of us. Thankfully, one of the people who did that to another thought better of their actions.

You might have heard of the Chicago mother who had her parental rights to her son taken away during a child support hearing earlier in August.

During the hearing, and “out of the blue,” Judge James Shapiro asked mother Rebecca Firlit whether she was vaccinated or not. When Firlit answered that she was not for medical reasons, “Shapiro then ordered that Firlit be stripped of all parenting time with her son until she gets vaccinated,” according to Fox 32 - Chicago.

“I’ve had adverse reactions to vaccines in the past and was advised not to get vaccinated by my doctor,” Firlit told the Chicago Sun-Times. “It poses a risk.”

Firlit and her ex-husband had been sharing custody of their 11-year-old son for seven years following their divorce.

Now apparently, Shapiro revoked his decision to strip Firlit of her parental rights on Monday, but didn’t give a reason for his reversal.

The attorney for Firlit’s ex-husband, Jeffery Leving, said he will be “working on an emergency motion to fight” Shapiro’s reversal.

Apparently, Leving agrees with the mandate in New York City that gives no medical exemption to those who are unvaccinated from attending pretty much any public establishment. Leving just wants the lack of medical exemption to extend to Firlit’s right to parent her son. Kinda sick, if you ask me.

The government should NOT be in the business of requiring Americans to undergo medical procedures in order to be able to live their everyday lives. The judge abused his power by requiring Firlit to get vaccinated or have her parental rights taken away, especially when she had a medical reason not to be vaccinated. And while I understand Leving is trying to do his job for his client, he’s going a little too far in continuing to push for Firlit to be vaccinated knowing that she has a perfectly good reason not to be.

It’s getting scary out there, folks. Defend yourselves until there is no other recourse, and even then, continue to do what you think is right for you.
