If you were looking for a slim silver lining in all the panic over the coronavirus, this might be it: Joy Behar is apparently taking a break from appearing on “The View” due to concerns over the outbreak.
Behar, 77, said that although she’s “perfectly healthy,” she’s stepping away from filming the all-female talk show because of her advanced age.
“I’m in a higher risk group because of my age, but I’m perfectly healthy,” Ms. Behar says in a pre-taped video that, Variety reported, will air Friday during the show. “I don’t look my age, but I’m actually up there. The number makes me dizzy.”
Behar says she won’t be on the set all next week and is waiting to see how the situation unfolds before making any decisions beyond that. Other hosts of "The View" will be on set filming the show, but will proceed without a live audience for the time being.
