John Legend in a Vanity Fair interview published this week revealed that he and a fellow music artist “updated” the lyrics to the Christmas classic, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside," scorned by the left and #MeToo movement as a date-rape anthem.

Vanity Fair in the feature on Legend and his wife Chrissy Teigen describes the song as “date-rapey.”

Legend shared with the magazine that he changed up the lyrics with songwriter Natasha Rothwell and recorded it with his fellow “The Voice” coach Kelly Clarkson.

The lyrics reportedly go as follows:

‘What will my friends think...’ sings Clarkson.

‘I think they should rejoice,’ Legend responds.

‘...if I have one more drink?’

‘It’s your body, and your choice.’

“The song’s every bit as fun and swinging as the original, and its newfound sensitivity feels genuine, not performative,” proclaims Vanity Fair.

Now, it feels a little early for this talk of the left’s political correctness crusade on Christmas, but here we are.

Legend's 2019 Christmas album will be released on Nov. 8, according to his website.

Look out for this new rendition of the classic, coming to music streaming apps soon, whether we like it or not.
