Joe Rogan Contemplating Moving Out of California to Texas 'If California Continues to be This Restrictive'

It doesn't really matter which side of the aisle you support. The average person - not the parasites you see on Twitter - is just about done being forced to stay in their homes due to the never-ending COVID-19 pandemic. Americans have, for the most part, cooperated with government in order to "flatten the curve" of the virus, but people are now resenting politicians extending orders for months on end.

Comedian and podcast host Joe Rogan might be one of those people that have had enough.

Following news that Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti told "Good Morning America" on Wednesday that "we’ll never be completely open until we have cure," and that the stay-at-home order for Los Angeles County might be extended into July or possibly August, Rogan spoke about possibly leaving the state of California.

"If California continues to be this restrictive, I don't know if this is a good place to live," Rogan said on Wednesday's edition of "The Joe Rogan Experience" podcast with guest and fellow stand-up comedian Tom Papa. "First of all, it's extremely expensive. The taxes here are ridiculous. And if they really say that we can't do stand-up until 2022, or some s**t like that, I might jet."

Rogan then justified his thought process by admitting that California isn't all it's cracked up to be.

"I'm not kidding. This is silly. I don't need to be here," Rogan continued. "The only reason why I'm here is that I'm close to people like you [Papa]. A lot of my friends live here. The [Comedy] Store is here. But if they don't let us do The Store, but we could do stand-up other places, why would we stay here?"

It will be interesting to see how demographics and populations across the country change in the next year or two.
