In February, former Vice President Joe Biden threw a nice compliment toward Vice President Mike Pence’s direction, calling him a “decent guy.” When leftists found out about it—they did what leftists do—they threw a fit.

As CNN reports:

Biden's comments about Pence came as he discussed foreign policy and how the international community had reacted to Pence during the vice president's speech at the Munich Security Conference earlier in February.

"The fact of the matter is it was followed on by a guy who's a decent guy, our Vice President, who stood before this group of allies and leaders and said, 'I'm here on behalf of President Trump,' and there was dead silence. Dead silence," Biden told an audience at the Chuck Hagel Forum in Global Leadership at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Biden faced criticism from former New York gubernational candidate Cynthia Nixon, the “Sex and the City” actress, she attacked the former Vice President’s comments reminding him that Pence was “anti-gay.”

“@JoeBiden you’ve just called America’s most anti-LGBT elected leader “a decent guy,” Nixon tweeted. “Please consider how this falls on the ears of our community. @DrBiden.”

Biden, who could possibly be a Democratic presidential candidate in 2020, responded to Nixon’s tweet in cowardly fashion by backing down like most leftist victims do. Apology anyone?

“You’re right, Cynthia,” Biden noted. “I was making a point in a foreign policy context, that under normal circumstances a Vice President wouldn’t be given a silent reaction on the world stage. But there is nothing decent about being anti-LGBTQ rights, and that includes the Vice President.”

Just like most of these apologies, they’re never enough. Nixon responded by brushing off Biden’s sentiments being sure to take a jab at him for even thinking about calling someone who upholds Christian values as a quality person.

“Thanks @JoeBiden. Appreciate the response,” she tweeted. “But please understand from where we sit, his dehumanizing of our community disqualifies @MikePence for the honorific of ‘decent’, regardless of the context.

Here a few things to take away from this:

  • Bowing your knee to liberals who are “outraged” at what you said is a futile endeavor.
  • Apologizing to a leftist can never be and will never be satisfactory for them. (see the first point)
  • Biden backing down was a display of cowardice and he ended up just looking weak at the end of the day.

Lastly, never allow people to force you to walk back something genuine you said. Keep your backbone strong and stable, you’ll be glad you did.
