Actress and former "Bond Girl" Valerie Leon disagrees with former Bond stars Daniel Craig and Pierce Brosnan that a woman should take over the iconic role.

"The world has gone mad,” Leon said on “Good Morning Britain.” “I'm dressed in black. I am in mourning that we're here to talk about Bond being a woman."

“He was conceived as a man,” the 75-year-old actress who starred in 1977's "The Spy Who Loved Me" continued. “Ian Fleming created him as a man."

"He's been successful all these years," Leon added. "We don't want to see him as a woman!"

British journalist and "Good Morning Britain" co-host Piers Morgan said that if women truly want a female spy character, they should "go and get a book written ... create your own spy hero, make your own movie franchise based on that."

"Don't destroy [such an] iconic hero," he said.

Morgan, when his "favourite James Bond" Sir Roger Moore, 88, came under fire for saying Bond should never be gay or female, called for an end to "this PC nonsense,” MRCTV reported then.

“That wasn’t what Ian Fleming wrote,” said Moore.“It’s not about being homophobic, or racist. It’s about being true to the character.”

Actors Craig and Brosnan not surprisingly have caved to liberal Hollywood pressure to endorse a Bond woman, with Craig saying last week that “of course” a woman could play the role and Brosnan saying with such enthusiasm earlier this week, “Get out of the way, guys, and put a woman up there.”
