There’s still a lot of decent people in the NFL, despite certain players divisive practice of protesting during the national anthem.
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles, through his own foundation, provided meals on Monday for first responders to the tragic shootings that took place at a “Madden: NFL 19” video game tournament in Jacksonville on Sunday.
Along with the meals, Bortles wrote a hand-written letter to the first responders, thanking them “for everything that [they] do!”
Here’s a tweet from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office thanking Bortles, his foundation and the restaurant where the food came from for their “kindness”:

“Thank you for everything that you do!” Bortles wrote. “Your service today & and everyday is greatly appreciated!”

Amen! It doesn’t look like Bortles will be taking a knee to protest “police brutality” anytime soon.
