The truth is coming out.

According to a new Rasmussen poll, Democratic voters actually want their political party to be more like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi than far-left, self-proclaimed Democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Amid a saturated and progressively left-leaning 2020 Democratic field, voters appear wary of the direction of their party, with 42 percent who “believe Democrats in Congress should be more like Pelosi than like Squad leader Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez,” reports Rasmussen, as opposed to 29 percent who say the opposite and 28 percent who poll unsure.

Pelosi has pushed back against Ocasio-Cortez and her “Squad” of minority progressive Democratic congresswomen, saying that socialism “is not the view of the Democratic Party.”

The fractions continue to clash, as seen when Pelosi was met with outrage by the progressives over much-needed funding to address the border crisis.

The Rasmussen survey of 1,000 likely U.S. voters was conducted July 15-16 and has a margin sampling error of three percentage points.
