Iranian Parliament Members Burn American Flag, Chant 'Death to America' After U.S. Leaves Iran Nuclear Deal

Tell us how you really feel, Iran. For a country that doesn’t want to be seen as radical, Iranian lawmakers make it difficult to shed that stigma.

Less than 24 hours after President Trump pulled the U.S. out of the Iran nuclear deal, lawmakers in the Iranian parliament could be seen burning the American flag and chanting “Death to America” on Wednesday.

Here’s video of the hate-filled display:

After praising European countries, Russia and China for not leaving the deal, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani made a veiled threat to the U.S.

“Otherwise, the Islamic Republic of Iran will bring them [the U.S.] to their senses with its nuclear actions,” Larijani said. “They have to know that under such circumstances, Iran has no commitment to remain in the nuclear position it was in before.”

As a result of the United States’ departure from the Iran deal, the sanctions that were removed by the deal former president Barack Obama made will be reimplemented against Iran.

The Treasury Department released details of the sanctions to be reimposed on Iran:

i.    Sanctions on the purchase or acquisition of U.S. dollar banknotes by the Government of Iran;

ii.   Sanctions on Iran’s trade in gold or precious metals;

iii.   Sanctions on the direct or indirect sale, supply, or transfer to or from Iran of

graphite, raw, or semi-finished metals such as aluminum and steel, coal, and

software for integrating industrial processes;

iv.   Sanctions on significant transactions related to the purchase or sale of Iranian

rials, or the maintenance of significant funds or accounts outside the territory of

Iran denominated in the Iranian rial;

v.    Sanctions on the purchase, subscription to, or facilitation of the issuance of

Iranian sovereign debt; and

vi.   Sanctions on Iran’s automotive sector.

Iran can burn things and cry out threats all they want, but when you’re the world’s number one state sponsor of terror, you really shouldn’t be throwing stones while living in a glass house.
