Socialist Protestor: ‘Gun Fundamentalism is Part and Parcel Of Racism’ In U.S.

Some socialist activists are now connecting guns to white supremacy.

“I think when we talk about gun rights we’re not having a conversation about self-defense, we’re not having a conversation about the Constitution, unless we’re also having a conversation of white supremacy and how gun fundamentalism is part and parcel of racism in the United States,” University of Vermont student Scarlett Moore, a member of the International Socialist Organization, says in a video posted by the Burlington Free Press.

“That’s right,” a fellow protestor can be heard saying in agreement.

The Burlington Free Press reports, Moore and other protestors briefly attended an event on Second Amendment rights put on by the Young Americans for Liberty at the University of Vermont's Ira Allen Chapel Thursday.

But despite all their calls for a “conversation,” the protestors got up and walked out shortly after walking in.

“I hope you consider sticking around for the question and answer period,” organizers announced to them from the stage. “We do want you to ask some tough questions.”

But they didn’t want to ask questions or have a conversation. It seems they just want to shout and link gun owners to racism.
