In yet another encouraging example of our stellar immigration enforcement policies, an illegal alien living in Virginia was just arrested on charges of raping a 7-year-old girl.
According to local reports, Culpeper County Sheriff’s detectives arrested 33-year-old Oscar Ramirez, an illegal alien from El Salvador, for allegedly sexually assaulting the girl sometime between April 6 and 7. He’s been charged with one count of Rape of a Child less than 13 years of age.
Adding insult to injury is the fact that Ramirez had apparently been living in the United States unlawfully for well over a decade. After his arrest, federal immigration authorities placed him under an ICE detainer after records showed he had failed to appear for an immigration hearing in Houston way back in 2006.
Officials claim he’ll be deported back to El Salvador after his case is wrapped up in Culpeper.
Culpeper Sheriff Scott Jenkins called the case “another example of America’s need for secure borders and repair of our broken immigration system.”
