It seems for some, a terrible virus is no excuse for cancelling spring break plans in Miami, at least according to those seen in a viral video uploaded to YouTube Wednesday.

The general consensus of those interviewed in the video was that plans for spring break had been made months in advance, and they were determined to see them through.

“If I get corona, I get corona,” declared Brady Sluder. “At the end of the day, I’m not gonna let it stop me from partying. You know, I’ve been waiting, we’ve been waiting for Miami spring break for a while, about two months we’ve had this trip planned, two, three months, and we’re just out here having a good time. Whatever happens, happens.”

Another of those interviewed, Atlantis Walker, stated his opinion of the panic and called for justice, saying, “What they’re doing is bad, we need a refund. This virus ain’t that serious. There’s more serious things out there like hunger and poverty and we need to address that.”

It’s slightly ironic that hunger and poverty were what Walker chose to mention, seeing as those could both be potential results of widespread closure of businesses and supply shortages.
